7 Day Startup | Day 7 | Launch Your Startup

nicola-rich-schefren-blogI left you yesterday while I was listening to soothing podcasts to try and calm down and go to sleep, while waiting for my domain name to propagate to the new hosting at WPEngine…

Remember Rich Schefren’s email about my experiences since his Transformation Weekend was going out… today now.  I have no idea how big his mailing list is but it’s SUPERSTAR MARKETER LARGE!

I woke up and immediately reached for my iPad to see what was happening with the site.

Was it live?

Was it heck!

After coffee this morning… still nothing.

Mid morning… still nothing.

Late morning… still nothing.

Rich’s email arrives at about 11.30am UK, really nice reading, introducing me and pointing at the blog post in question…..

OMG – still nothing.

Then, just before mid-day, I called GoDaddy 24/7 support in the USA again and the man helped me tweak one thing and suddenly…

It all went live.

Just in the nick of time.

So next time someone is in the middle of a launch and they say their server went down… believe them!

It does happen.

So What Next?

I now need to work out what to do next.  Everyone makes such a fuss about “launching” but really the work starts AFTER you launch.

Attracting traffic, improving conversions on your homepage, improving your offer, getting customer feedback, improving your customer service.

I need to do more content marketing, host the setup meetings with those who have opted in so far, make them happy with their new ClicksAndLeads.

And then, if I just keep doing that, who knows how big it will grow?

I’ll let you know.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear about you and your Startup!

3 Day Update

I’m going to update you monthly, over at my Mentoring / Membership website ClicksLeadsAndSales.com, on the progress of this new business startup for a time along with my Marketing actions and perhaps income reports too.

Already the website is getting over 50 visits per day, although I’m not sure where they are coming from… I have been active on Social Media across the board, and it helps that I’ve been on most platforms since they launched so have a total of around 10,000 real followers/ fans/ friends.

I’m starting to get opt-ins for the Demo Consultation now (although the main challenge seems to be that some potential customers don’t use Skype (say what?!!), so I’ll  have to set up a GoToWebinar session for them.

Not a biggie.  I need to be able to see their screens during that consultation, so “customer dinosaur’ism” might be an issue…
