Nicola’s done lot’s of Challenges (although not as a participant) and had found that, yes, they do work. She’s done some specialist training and wants to recommend a 5-Day Challenge on…yes! Hi. Nicola here, and I am on a very fast timer today because it’s super hot in Shoreham. It’s really very hot indeed. In fact, it’s Greek kind of temperatures, and I’ve had to shut the front window because we live on a high street and that is pretty noisy when the buses go past. So I’m going to roast unless I get any information to you quickly today. So it’s going to be quite a short Vzine.
I just wanted to say to you that one of the things that I’ve been experiencing a lot since the pandemic started is people talking to me about their finances. Now, they come to me because I wrote the book, The Money Gym. In fact, I’ve just updated The Money Gym for 2020 and put it back onto Amazon. So go and check that out. I’ve also done the Audible version as well.
But the thing I’ve been meaning to do is start a new chapter called The Missing Chapter, which would update the book even from when I updated it most recently. I couldn’t make too many big changes to Amazon because it changes how it works on Amazon. But I’ve now finished The Missing Chapter.
If you want to get your hands on a copy of that, completely free of charge, and a copy, an ebook copy of my book, then go along to themissingchapter.club and you can read my story and skip through the pages if you know it already and then get your hands on The Missing Chapter. It’s how to survive and thrive in 2020 and beyond. So I hope you really enjoy that.
Today, I want to talk to you about five-day challenges. Any kind of challenge, in fact, and the reason I want to do that is because I’ve just had a very successful five-day challenge. Previously to this, I’d done several challenges. I’d done a 20, I think I printed a 30-day challenge and a 21-day challenge, then a 14-day challenge and a seven-day challenge. I’m down to five days now. The reason I did that was because I realised that I was giving too much away. Now, that’s not a bad thing in terms of abundance, but it is a bad thing in terms of overwhelming your customers or your potential future customers.
The reason I cut it down to five days was because I started to watch a lady called Helen Pritchard doing her challenge. In fact, I joined in her challenge. Very unusual for me. I don’t normally do these challenges at all, these free ones. So I did her challenge and I was so impressed with the way it was run that I started to look about to see who had run her challenge for her, if indeed, anyone else had.
It turned out it was a guy called Big Phil, and Big Phil was just about to launch his first five-day challenge on Running Profitable Challenges. It’s all getting a bit meta, isn’t it? And I may have talked about it before, but what I want to do is let you know today that he is starting a brand new challenge on Monday. That’s next Monday and if you go to ClicksAndLeads.com/bigphil, you will get into his next challenge.
Now, what happened to me was I got into his challenge and I found out the reason, one of the reasons, apart from the fact I knew challenges worked for me, but I knew I hadn’t systemized them as well as I could have done, was that I wanted to know how to use bot messengers. Now, I tried to set up a bot messenger and done it horribly, horribly wrong and got my account suspended as usual. This is quite common for me.
I try things out before reading the instructions. He promised that he would teach me how to do it properly. I got into his challenge and I really found it very, very good to do. It was very easy questions and things, but it made you think quite deeply. Now, I’ve done a lot of this work before in Helen’s challenge. I was able to coast the first couple of days, and then really get stuck into the meat of it over the next three days.
It was a no-brainer to buy Phil’s Mastery Course afterwards. I have to say that I am really, really enjoying it. I ran my first challenge just after I started on his Mastery Course. It really was step-by-step. And not only that, he gets you to download stuff from his mailing list and his messenger bot. Then, you can just upload it to yours and change it all around to suit your challenge, which is absolutely fantastic. It takes away a lot of the heavy lifting on the tech department and I’m quite techie. I don’t mind that, but it’s always a pleasure not to have to do it.
So then, what happened then, I ran my next challenge. Even though I tried all the other challenges and made sales, this one was even better from the point of view of how many people registered for the challenge, which means you’re building your mailing list and how many people participated in the challenge, which was greatly enhanced by the combination of the bot and the email follow-up and letting people know that things were happening in the group via bot, that really made a huge difference.
I really, really want to encourage you to go and take part in Phil’s five-day challenge on How to Run Profitable Challenges, and don’t hesitate to sign up for his Mastery Course afterwards. I think I’ve made about 200% return-on-investment with my first challenge, which isn’t bad, is it? And there are hundreds of really good testimonials in the group as well. Go to ClicksAndLeads.com/bigphil and you’ll get into his challenge, which starts on Monday.
What have you missed on the podcast this last week?
So on the podcast this week, you have missed an episode called Saying Yes to Everything, which is where we’re still tackling listener challenges. This is the challenge of artist, Helen Elliott, and she’s finding that being self-employed now, she finds herself saying yes to everything, and she doesn’t know what to say no to because any of the things that she says no to could be the thing that makes a difference. We tackled this in the podcast at great length and Helen found it really helpful apparently. That’s really good.
Just one thing to say on that topic is that it’s never just one thing that makes a difference. It’s an accumulation of everything you do. For example, it won’t ever be one Vzine episode that makes the difference that sends me viral, for example, but we’re all seduced into thinking that that’s what it’s all about. You’ve got to just think of it as every single tiny bit of activity, multi-activity you do, on every single platform, is all a little brick in the wall of your marketing efforts and that’s what’s going to bring people to you. It’s never just one thing.
So I hope you’ve enjoyed this episode and I’ll see you next week.
